Project Overview

Lochnivar’s reporting was disjointed and inefficient, creating gaps in communication internally and externally. They wanted to replace their outdated customer relationship management (CRM) and accounting systems.

The Problem

Lochinvar specialises in the distribution of high efficiency gas fired water heaters and boilers for commercial applications including schools, hotels and leisure centres. Lochinvar is recognised for the reliability and cost effectiveness of its products which are designed and manufactured specifically to fit the needs of the UK commercial market.

After researching several systems, Lochnivar chose to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV. They purchased the software from a reseller that could not meet their demands – they then turned to seek an alternative provider to project manage the transition but ensuring the project was delivered on time. “We had numerous issues and were disheartened with our existing reseller” said Claire Jerome, Operations Manager.

The Solution

Step 1: The first step was to fully understand Lochinvar and their requirements as agreed with the previous reseller. The original go live date set by the reseller was unrealistic and a new time schedule needed to be planned.

Step 2: An extensive review was undertaken as only essential information needs to be migrated to the new system.

Step 3: A tailored training plan was developed and delivered to users.
Step 4Regular progress checks and strong communication throughout the stages enabled the implementation process to run smoothly. Acting as a third party consultant, we were able to relieve any apprehensions from Lochinvar and work closely with the reseller to deliver on schedule.
