Microsoft Dynamics CRM is an on-premise, locally hosted solution, that is the forerunner of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales. Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a software product that provides customer relationship management (CRM) solutions for businesses. It helps organisations to manage their sales, marketing, customer service, and other operations. It is part of the Microsoft Dynamics suite of applications.

Is Microsoft Dynamics CRM Still Supported?

The last version of Dynamics CRM released by Microsoft was Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016, mainstream support for this solution ended on 12th January 2021, and extended support ends on 13th January 2026.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM was replaced by Dynamics 365, which is a suite of cloud-based applications that includes Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service, and other modules. Dynamics 365 Sales is the new name for the sales module of Dynamics 365, which offers improved functionality, flexibility, and integration compared to Dynamics CRM.
