Following the release of the Spring Budget yesterday, Pegasus have announced will be required for their products:
For Opera 3 there are two options;
- Pegasus will release a utility that will be compatible with Opera 3 – 2.96.00 and will update the 6th April 2024 tables NIC Contribution Codes – 10% down to 8% and 3.85% to 1.85%. – This is the preferred method.
- The second option is to manually adjust these percentages in the 6th April 2024 table within the software.
Pegasus will also be incorporating the tables into a future release of Opera 3 but we would advise against waiting for this to be available. As this change takes place from the beginning of the new tax year there are no other adjustments required.

Following Pegasus’ above communication of 7 March, we wanted to bring you up to date on their plans for release.
Opera 3 – all variants
- Pegasus has developed the Utilities for both Opera 3 VFP/SQL and SE and are testing them this week with a view to release w/c 18 March 2024.
Capital Gold Payroll
- Pegasus has taken the opportunity to hold this release in order to make the changes to the tax tables prior to general availability in order to minimise the impact on Partners and customers. There will be a further update in the near future regarding release timescale.
