Job Title: Management Accountant

Responsible to: Finance Director

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 dependent on experience

Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

Assisting the Finance Director in the preparation and production of accounts and management information for the group. You will control the end to end process to help alleviate the Finance Director of some of their workload and enable them to focus more on the groups strategic goals.

Initially the role will predominately based working from our Sale office whilst duties are handed over. As you progress into the role it will evolve into a hybrid role with a minimum 3 days in the office.

Role

  • Preparation of the group monthly management accounts for review with the Finance Director
    • Including full ownership of the sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly Direct Debit Collections
  • Supporting the wider business and providing insight to enable informed decision making as required
  • Liaising with external parties to resolve any queries such as HMRC, external accountants and the bank

Experience

  • The role would suit someone part qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of Business Central & Opera desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to deal with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
