Job Summary

We are seeking for an organised and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to 1-2 years of experience who is looking to build a broad foundation in B2B marketing in the technology sector. The role is designed as a development position, with clear progression to a Marketing Executive role as skills and experience grow.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Campaign and Content Support

  • Work with internal product specialists to gather content and turn this into blogs and website content.
  • Help plan and maintain content schedules for website, email and social media, sharing these with the sales team.
  • Support the creation and distribution of newsletters and regular customer communications.
  • Assist with the production of recurring video content such as webinars and training videos.
  • Help keep website content up to date using WordPress.

Email Marketing and Customer Journeys

  • Support with the writing of content for email marketing.
  • Build and manage email campaigns and customer journeys using eMarketeer.
  • Support warm-up journeys for new prospects and re-engagement journeys for existing customers.
  • Assist with onboarding email communications for new customers.
  • Maintain accurate contact data, lists and preferences in line with data protection requirements.

Reporting and Insight

  • Produce regular reports on email campaign performance and website activity.
  • Highlight simple insights and opportunities to improve future marketing activity.

Sales and Onboarding Support

  • Support the creation and updating of customer onboarding packs.
  • Contribute ideas to improve the onboarding process and customer experience.
  • Help organise and maintain marketing collateral for sales teams.

General Marketing Support

  • Assist with social media planning and scheduling.
  • Support the sourcing and organisation of branded merchandise.
  • Undertake general marketing administration and coordination tasks as required.

Learning and Development

You will be supported with training and development across key marketing systems and tools, including SuperOffice CRM, WordPress, eMarketeer, Adobe Photoshop and basic video editing tools. As you develop, you will gradually take ownership of campaigns and activities, progressing towards a Marketing Executive role.


Skills and Experience

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and marketing techniques.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Interest in technology of all kinds will be a definite advantage, due to the role and industry.
  • Practical marketing experience, this could be:
    • 1-2 years practical experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
    • A degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
    • Practical experience such as a completed marketing internship or apprenticeship.
    • Note: Applicants with no marketing experience will not be considered.

Desirable Skills (not essential)

  • Exposure to email marketing or marketing automation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Experience with WordPress, design or video editing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, social media advertising or PPC.
  • Experience of helping to organise webinars, trade shows or customer events.
