About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly NAV) Support Technician to join our growing team. You will play a key part in supporting our Business Central environment, providing functional and technical assistance to end-users, resolving system issues, and helping drive improvements across our ERP landscape. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, understanding business processes, and working closely with both IT and operational teams.


Key Responsibilities

User Support & Issue Resolution 

  • Manage day-to-day support tickets (incidents and service requests). 
  • Diagnose and resolve issues relating to Business Central modules including Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and Manufacturing. 
  • Escalate complex cases to Microsoft or implementation partners when required. 

System Configuration & Maintenance 

  • Carry out basic system configuration, setup changes, and parameter adjustments. 
  • Support integrations with related systems such as Power BI, Power Automate, and CRM tools. 
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing cycles, and deployment activities. 

Process Improvement 

  • Analyse existing business processes and recommend enhancements using Business Central capabilities. 
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and customisations. 

Training & Documentation 

  • Produce and maintain user guides, knowledge base articles, and process flow documentation. 
  • Deliver user training and onboarding sessions to ensure efficient system adoption. 

Collaboration 

  • Work closely with developers to capture requirements for enhancements and custom features. 
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to support data accuracy and smooth business operations. 

Skills & Experience

ERP Functional Knowledge 

Experience in one or more Business Central/NAV areas: 

  • Financial Management (GL, AR/AP, Fixed Assets, Cash Management) 
  • Sales & Purchase Order Processing 
  • Inventory & Warehouse Management 
  • Job Costing / Manufacturing (advantageous) 

Technical Skills 

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV 
  • Basic understanding of AL language (preferred) 
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Power Automate (a plus) 
  • SQL queries for troubleshooting 
  • Report customisation (RDLC / Word layout) 
  • Experience using ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk) 
  • Azure DevOps for deployment and release tracking 

Qualifications 

  • Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a related discipline. 
  • Preferably certified in: 
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate 
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Solid understanding of accounting and operational workflows 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills 
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
