With SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), we can provide a set of on-premises tools and services that create, deploy, and manage mobile and paginated reports. The SSRS solution can flexibly deliver the right information to the right users at the right time!
Features of SSRS
Any user can consume the reports via a web browser, on their mobile device, or via email if using a full SQL.
There is a multitude of content you can put into a web portal, which can be organised by the following type:
- Paginated reports
- Mobile reports
- KPIs
- Excel workbooks
- Shared datasets
- Shared data sources
SSRS is available for free with an SQL Server, which is included with the free Express version of SQL (if you have installed the ‘Advanced’ services version). However, it does not include all the features such as emailing reports to people on a schedule.
SQL Server Reporting Services offer an updated suite of products. These include:
- “Traditional” paginated reports brought up to date, so you can create modern-looking reports, with updated tools and new features for creating them
- New mobile reports with a responsive layout that adapts to different devices and the different ways you hold them.
