As you will be aware already, Business Central is upgraded automatically every 6 months and the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 2023 release wave 1 will be deployed shortly.
The following information is a outline guide to the upgrade process for all out SaaS Business Central clients for both Major upgrades released by Microsoft each year. Dates are as an example and may differ slightly depending on when Microsoft schedule the initial Sandbox Upgrade.
At Synergy Technology we want to help you prepare for this so we will be upgrading your sandbox environment prior to the actual live upgrade. This is to give you an opportunity to see the new features in the system, but more importantly help you ensure that when the live upgrade is undertaken you are prepared.
We would recommend over the next week that you access the new Sandbox and if you discover any issues, or have questions, these should be emailed to our support team via the support portal. We will be in touch to see how you are getting on.
Your Sandbox environment is unique to you, and will be communicated to you by your account manager.
Your live environment will be updated on Tuesday 30th May, or shortly afterward by Microsoft, and we have already prepared any bespoke work on your system to be compatible, but we need you to also test the processes to make sure you are happy.
You will receive updates from us every 6 months to confirm when the next release has been applied to your sandbox prior to the live upgrade. Below is the a diagram showing the estimated dates for each wave as they currently stand:
